The theme for World Environment Day 2020 is, 'Celebrate Biodiversity'.

World Environment Day is the occasion to educate the general public on challenges and issues related to exploitation of resources. The world celebrates 5 June as world environment Day to highlight the protection and issues related to environment, which influences the people of the world. The celebration of this day presents us with a possibility to develop the basis for an enlightened opinion and accountable behavior of people, organizations and communities in retaining and enhancing the environment.

It would take 1.6 Earths to meet the demands that humans make of nature each year. If we continue on this path, biodiversity loss will have severe implications for humanity, including the collapse of food and health systems.

We are a part of nature and yes we are very much dependent on it.So, it becomes our responsiblity to save our planet.
 
Together, we can build a world that is cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable – today and for future generations.
