Food wastage

Every year, one third of all food produced globally goes to waste. This not only affects our wallets but also has a significant impact on our environment. When food waste ends up in landfills, it releases methane gas, which contributes to climate change. We can reduce food waste by buying only what we need, planning our meals, and composting our food scraps. Let's work together to reduce food waste and make a positive impact on our environment. Food waste is a significant problem that affects individuals, businesses, and the environment. According to the United Nations, approximately one-third of all food produced globally goes to waste each year. This equates to 1.3 billion tonnes of food, which is enough to feed three billion people. Food waste has many negative consequences. Firstly, it is a waste of resources. Producing food requires land, water, energy, and other resources. When food is wasted, these resources are also wasted. This is not only bad for the environment but also ...

Earth's Resources Exploitation

Look at this picture. It is not something you and me can't deny. It is something which is happening for real.... Which is so real that we are not even realizing what we are doing to this magnificent world.

Resources are something which are used to satisfy our wants.

This statement 'Satisfy our wants' has made us so selfish and blind that we cannot see beyond our greediness.

We have been exploiting these resources since so many years and in return what we are offering to the Earth is The Waste.

The waste which will not decompose, that easily, into the environment ,even after you and me die.

We all talk about economy & economic growth. What is the point of economic growth when we can't have fresh air to breathe in.

The exploitation of natural resources is the use of natural resources for economic growth, sometimes with a negative connotation of accompanying environmental degradation. It started to emerge on an industrial scale in the 19th century as the extraction and processing of raw materials (such as in mining, steam power, and machinery) developed much further than it had in preindustrial areas.

During the Twentieth century, energy consumption rapidly increased. Today, about 80% of the world's energy consumption is sustained by the extraction of fossil fuels, which consists of oil, coal and gas. Another non-renewable resource that is exploited by humans is subsoil minerals such as precious metals that are mainly used in the production of industrial commodities.

Intensive agriculture is an example of a mode of production that hinders many aspects of the natural environment, for example the degradation of forests in a terrestrial ecosystem and water pollution in an aquatic ecosystem. As the world population rises and economic growth occurs, the depletion of natural resources influenced by the unsustainable extraction of raw materials becomes an increasing concern.

Addressing these issues will be instrumental in tackling the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, many of which are aimed at ending poverty and hunger, protecting human health, promoting safe communities and promoting the sustainable use of natural resources. As the research has shown, a healthy environment is inextricably tied up with just about all of these issues.

Metal refining consists of purifying an impure material. It is to be distinguished from other processes such as smelting and calcining in that those two involve a chemical change to the raw material, whereas in refining, the final material is usually identical chemically to the original ore, only it is purer. The processes used are of many types including pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical techniques .

In the good old days of colonialism many countries came under the boot of plunder in the seventh and eighteenth centuries for their natural resources. In the midst of the American "Revolution" the French and the British were battling each other for the booty of opium in the Bengal province of India.

Coal mining is the extraction of deposits from the surface of the earth and from the underground. Coal mining is the most abundant fossil fuel on earth. Its predominant use has always been for producing heat energy. It was the basic energy source that fueled the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries, and the industrial growth of that era in turn supported the large-scale exploitation of coal deposits

If we continue at this rate, we would want 2.5 planets to serve ourselves in 2050. In turn, this enterprise indicates that the world's population of fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles declined by 58 % between 1970 and 2012 due to human activities and predicts that by 2020 this percentage will soar to 67%.

Natural resources are the resouces which the planet gives without human intervention. They are vital for our survival, but if they're depleted at a faster rate than their natural regeneration, as is currently the case, they may get exhausted. Then, we review the outcomes and viable answers to this hassle.

Indonesia’s forests are great carbon tanks than the Amazon rainforest, yet palm oil groups are rapidly cutting them, in line with the Union of worried Scientists. This consists of draining and burning lands, which can preserve up to twenty-eight times as plenty carbon as forests.

The exploitation of natural resources is the usage of natural assets for monetary needs, on occasion with a poor connotation of accompanying environmental degradation. It began to emerge on a commercial scale in the nineteenth century as the extraction and processing of uncooked substances (along with in mining, steam electricity, and equipment) advanced an awful lot in addition than it had in preindustrial areas.

At some point in the 20th century, electricity intake unexpectedly extended. These days, about 80% of the arena's strength intake is continued via the extraction of fossil fuels, which includes oil, coal and gas. every other non-renewable useful resource this is exploited through people is subsoil minerals which includes precious metals which are especially used inside the production of business commodities.

Extensive agriculture is an instance of a method of production that hinders many components of the natural environment, as an instance the degradation of forests in a terrestrial environment and water pollutants in an aquatic ecosystem. As the arena population rises and economic growth occurs, the depletion of natural resources motivated by means of the unsustainable extraction of uncooked materials turns into an increasing subject.

When a mining company enters a growing us of a inside the international south to extract uncooked substances, advocating the benefits of the industry's presence and minimizing the potential negative consequences advantage cooperation of the local community. Advantageous factors are mainly in economic development so offerings that the government could not offer inclusive of health centers, police departments and schools can be mounted. but, with monetary development, money will become a dominant problem of hobby. . Has in no way dealt with before.

The disappearance of habitats important for flowers and fauna and, consequently, the extinction of species. There are a few 30 million extraordinary animal and plant species inside the world, and of these, the worldwide Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) says that, currently, more than 31,000 species are threatened with extinction.

33% of the arena's soils are reasonably to quite degraded, in step with a United countries Food and Agriculture agency (FAO). If the erosion of fertile soil continues at the equal rate, agricultural commodity fees will unavoidably soar.

The difference is just that we have to realise the fact that the Earth doesn't belong to us ...but we belong to the Earth.

If we want to save our planet, we have to stop this resources exploitation.

Bhutan tourism -GNH (Gross National Happiness)

Tourism in Bhutan ~ "Bhutan puts ecology before the economy." Bhutan  follows ‘high value-low impact’ tourism whichis  based on its unique Gross National Happiness (GNH) policy. It is based on 4 principles :- 1.Sustainable development 2. Environmental conservation 3.Preservation & promotion of cultural values 4. Good governance. Bio-degradable pads

**The content below is not just for girls out there but for every person who feels the concern for the environment.** Everyone of us is aware of mensuration days in a female's life. Numerous types of sanitary pads has been introduced for their sanitation. As per research, a female uses 17000 pads approximately in her life. Now, just assume if a single pad takes 500 years to decompose then, how much time these 17000 pads are going to take. With only 16% of Indian women using sanitary pads today, ladies in India currently generate a 100,000+ heaps of sanitary pads waste every 12 months. As sanitary pad usage will increase, waste will further add up!  This also means that  the sanitary pads we toss inside the bin every month will hang around even when you and I are long gone. The sad news is that those grimy pads are not being recycled. These are simply disposed off into the garbage. The blood on the pads can accumulate pathogens and this can additionally infect the soil. In India...
