Food wastage

Every year, one third of all food produced globally goes to waste. This not only affects our wallets but also has a significant impact on our environment. When food waste ends up in landfills, it releases methane gas, which contributes to climate change. We can reduce food waste by buying only what we need, planning our meals, and composting our food scraps. Let's work together to reduce food waste and make a positive impact on our environment. Food waste is a significant problem that affects individuals, businesses, and the environment. According to the United Nations, approximately one-third of all food produced globally goes to waste each year. This equates to 1.3 billion tonnes of food, which is enough to feed three billion people. Food waste has many negative consequences. Firstly, it is a waste of resources. Producing food requires land, water, energy, and other resources. When food is wasted, these resources are also wasted. This is not only bad for the environment but also ...

Nature is a healer

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever." Consider yourself sitting under a tree, birds chirping, a lovely river just by your side and the sun has just began rising.Does this brings smile on your face?  Nature has a hypnotizing effect on everyone of us and if one is able to see that, his entire existence turns into happy.  "Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. … There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter. " Nature in itself is the image of growth and regeneration. It has the energy to heal your soul. Suppose on a bad day, whilst you are annoyed frustrated & indignant .So,you go to a plant and touch its leaves. Then, you experience its healing effect on you.  We are a part of nature. It has created us.  It is like when you have been a child and you wouldn't stop crying,  you will go to your mo...

Save Our Planet

The  Earth is warming at an alarming rate, humans are the cause of it. Also, a failure to act today will deeply affect the future of the Earth. Amid the horror of Covid 19, it is important to remember that another worldwide disaster is unfolding (Climate crisis) , although slowly but gradually everything will turn out against us. Global warming is happening, and its effects are being felt around the world.  If we think that the carbon dioxide & methane already added to the atmosphere ,since past so many years, wouldn't have an impact on Earth due to the lockdown. Then, we are wrong because the lockdown of 3 or 4 months wouldn't have any long lasting impact compared to the sins we have committed in past many years. As of now, the damage seems to be getting worse. The Scientists predicted years ago  - severe storms, heat waves and the melting of glaciers and ice sheets — are accelerating. If we look closer, what’s happening at the top of the world, the Arctic and the bo...

Green Snow

The impact of global climate change ,as we all know, cannot be denied. The green snow has lined a considerable quantity of southern continent's snow. This is not white, but green.  It has been foretold that within the coming  years, the green snow is probably going to unfold across continent – a results of hotter temperatures and global climate change.  The conditions required for algae to bloom within the space are because of water , that is available in ample quantity in Antractica, because the planet is heating up therefore apace. To conduct the study, the researchers checked out satellite information gathered between 2017 and 2019 and combined it with on-the-ground measurements over 2 summers in continent. That method allowed the scientists to map the microscopic algae as they bloomed across the green snow of the peninsula, consistent with CNN.What is rumored is really a conservative estimate since the information solely enclosed chlorophyte. The satellite is barely c...

Nature is inevitable

The world is changing. This drastic change and the turns of events  have made us realise the value of life. The nature is renourshing & replenishing itself. It's abilities are tremendous. Nature is forgiving. It knows how to heal itself.  The lack of human activities is the reason behind it.   In this way, nature is teaching us that it is Inevitable. The lockdown due to covid 19 pandemic. It is giving us time to rethink & introspect within ourselves what we were doing  to our Planet. This is an exotic moment without rush, without engines; we are all together (not physically though) in a sudden strangeness. Fishermen in the cold sea would not harm whales & fishes. And the business men would not look at their hurt hands. There is peace outside. Birds are chirping. The sky is blushing. The trees are dancing. The nature is singing. The rain is pouring down more frequently to cleanse the Earth.  The sky is more blue now.  This is the crucial...

Covid 19 Imprisonment

We are going through an unprecedented lock-down and are caged like an animal. Now we all can relate how it feels like to be caged. It could be immensely uncomfortable to get adapt to a non-social set up for very long, while we are really close to your family in a real way but when these animals are caged, they are alone without any friend or family member. Animal cruelty encompasses a range of behaviors harmful to animals, from neglect to malicious killing. Most cruelty investigated by humane officers is unintentional neglect that can be resolved through education. Intentional cruelty can run the gamut from knowingly depriving an animal of food, water, shelter, socialization or veterinary care to maliciously torturing, maiming, mutilating or killing an animal.  Why is it a concern? All animal cruelty is a concern because it is wrong to inflict suffering on any living creature. Intentional cruelty is a particular concern because it is a sign of psychological distress and of...

Earth day🌱

https://youtu.be/-h6MzJ1zZRE "The poetry of the Earth is never dead." Lets get hypnotized in  the beauty of nature. Its so fascinating & mesmerizing. There is a saying, everybody wants to change the world but nobody is ready to change themselves for the world. Perhaps it is time for us to reflect on ourselves (since we are all locked at our homes #covid19 )and ask, what have I done for mother nature? Do you really need to use that much plastic bag? Will you walk to the nearby shop instead of driving? It is all the little things that matters, and if everyone contributes, the planet will be a beautiful place to live it – less resources needs, less destruction and better environment. Paradise on Earth is not a place to find but a decision to make & flowers are the reminder of paradise exist on Earth...  Earth Day 2000 covered 5,000 environmental organisations and 184 countries. Hayes prepared a marketing campaign that targeted on global warming and easy electricity. ...

Earth is healing

Due to the lockdown announced by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19, nature has begun to flourish.  The benefits of this lockdown is in the air quality in most Indian cities. The cities which were known for their bad air quality have reported 'good' air quality index (AQI). Following the 'janata curfew', air pollution levels dropped 60% in Kolkata, 6% in Mumbai, and 26% in Delhi. We all know the crucial role of ozone layer. Besides the drop in pollution levels, the ozone layer also play an important role in maintaining a balance of climatic conditions. Earth has begun to heal with decreased human activities.  The earth has been healing itself while we stay locked down in our houses. There are reports of Ganges water being sparkling clean, the Himalayas being visible from towns in Punjab, ozone layer sealing, air quality index improving significantly, birds singing in our cities, flamingos flocking Mumbai, animals coming out of hiding and roaming on t...
